Mental Health Guide

Scientifically proven methods and psychological tools for your everyday life, explained simply.

Digital Detox & Social Media Hygiene

Smartphones and social media are designed to capture our attention. A more conscious use of digital media (digital detox) reduces stress, improves sleep, and promotes mental health.

1. Reduce Notifications

Turn off all non-essential push notifications. You should decide when to open the phone, not the app.

2. Create Screen-Free Zones

Define physical areas where the phone is taboo—for example, the bedroom or the dining table.

3. The Feed Check

Unfollow accounts on social media that make you angry, trigger envy, or make you feel like you're not enough. Your feed is your mental living space.

4. The 20-20-20 Rule

To relieve your eyes and mind: Every 20 minutes, look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

5. Reactivate Analog Hobbies

Actively replace the gained screen time with analog activities: reading, cooking, walking, or crafts to recalibrate your reward system.
